Abstract: Lacistemataceae is a small family of trees and shrubs located mainly in wet lowland, montane, dry and moist forests in the West Indies, Mexico, Mesoamerica, South America excluding Chile. The objective of the Lacistemataceae Holistic Database is to continue the 40 years dedicated research of Dr. Herman Sleumer (d. 1993). LHD will update knowledge encompassing systematic and environmental sciences. In this year CoL also has taken 12 small plant families from Neotropical Plant Families Database (NPFD) by F.E. Young.
