| Abstract: | COOL is a taxonomic database on the Cercopoidea (froghoppers, or spittlebugs). Its purpose is to gather and organise available knowledge on the froghoppers and to provide easy access to the information to any interested person. At the moment it is based upon the Metcalf Catalogue (1960-1962) for the families Cercopidae, Machaerotidae, Clastopteridae and Aphrophoridae. The information on Epipygidae have been taken from the publication of Hamilton (2001). |
