| Abstract: | This is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Field Museum and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Currently, 28 individuals are participating from 20 institutions representing 12 countries. The source database contains data over 37,000 liverwort and hornwort names, which is being prepared to create a worldwide checklist. The data released here includes the type species of each genus. The higher taxonomy is largely based on recently proposed classification. |
