Abstract: SysMyr was developed by Jörg Spelda, in collaboration with the Bavarian State Collection for Zoology as a taxonomic backbone for the GBIF-D node 'Evertebrata II' and later updated in cooperation with Petra Sierwald's Millibase project. SysMyr provides diverse information on over 30,000 names of Chilopoda, Diplopoda, Pauropoda and Symphyla. The acceptance status is automatically evaluated and depends on the latest citation found in the included literature. Since the release of August 2012 all diplopod orders have been updated to > 90% completeness (only the Polydesmida perhaps less) with the synonymies critically checked. The present release (April 2013) adds newly described species and updates some synonymies and distributions mainly for species from the Balkans.
